Art
has always had a place in my life. As a child the drawings my parents
chose to ignore; as an adult our travels that meant visiting galleries
and museums, and owning and operating an art supply and framing store.
For the past ten years painting has become a major activity for me.
Retirement gave me the time to pursue my interest in painting. Our move
to New York City gave me the opportunity to take advantage of the art
facilities and instruction at the cityıs Senior Centers. This, coupled
with the 1991 Metropolitan Museum Fauve Landscape exhibition, was the
inspiration for a style of painting I love.
